Installing Codebeamer

The installation is very simple. Follow the steps to make it to be available,

Prerequisites

  1. Download database – PostgreSQL (officially recommended), MySQL, Oracle
  2. Openjdk 1.8 (should be installed and PATH environment should be set)
  3. *Codebeamer latest version – Download Codebeamer (intland.com)
  4. * You need to register, and the license key generated with new registration is valid only for 30 days. Kindly contact Codebeamer support for purchasing license key upon evaluation.
  5. Hardware – You could try with decent configurations. For more users to get connected, establish the instance in high quality hardware configuration.
  6. Other alternate is, you could also try SaaS environment offered by PTC Codebeamer team or you could host in your own cloud instance as IaaS or simply as Docker container.

Codebeamer Installation Steps:

In this tutorial we shall try setting up with Windows 10 OS machine and on MySQL database.

  1. Install database server
  2. Configure database instance
  3. Install codebeamer instance
  4. Running and configuring database and license settings

* In this tutorial, snapshots are based on from already installed database
